The story begins in Peru

My experience with chocolate began one morning in December 2014 when in my quest to explore the world I arrived in Peru to live for a season outside of Spain. It was there that I was lucky enough to start working at the Chocolate Museum, where I discovered the wonders of this food and which made me mature and become who I am today. Of all the great experiences and people who have had the greatest influence on my time in Latin America, I will undoubtedly remember getting to know the natural environment where cocoa grows and the great work that farmers do to harvest cocoa and share their knowledge with visitors. There in Peru, the seed of Kina Chocolates began to germinate.

The Birth Of Kina Chocolates

Once back in Barcelona, I began to shape Kina Chocolates. A project that gathers and encompasses my experiences in Peru, everything that this Andean country taught me and seeks to bring customers closer to the wonderful world of cocoa and its crops, so that the customer can live a chocolate experience, discovering a new world full of flavours and knowledge. In fact, the name Kina comes from my two little dogs, Kira and Nala, faithful guardians of the cocoa farm in the Cusco jungle where I spent so much time.
